I have a big rip on my leather seat. What is the best way to sew it up without going to a shop?

Maybe a buddy has a Pfaff upholstery sewing machine if there was a place that was close and handy to set it up with electric turned on.
That would require taking the seat apart. It would be nice though

I busted seam is easy to fix. Just did it on my jeep. Pull the seat out and take the cover off, resew and install.
I will get a picture in a bit.

Nah I need to get better seats and I know where a set of Cherokee seats that I hope to modify to work. I just need a temp repair until I get them.
