Shorter Oil Filter for 64 Valiant 273

Can I use a shorter oil filter on a 273. I am having problem getting a stock filter to fit. It will not rotate past the left torsion bar.

Really? It should be 3 feet from the left torsion bar! :) If it's close to the RH torsion bar, you may need to rotate the oil filter adapter to get added clearence.

Guess I wold have a few feet to work.... Getting old sucks.....
