HAHAHA that is the coolest A body pic evar!

Last year I bought my wife a 72 Valiant on Ebay. The previous owner had removed all the leaf springs except the main one, then put 4 inch lowering blocks between the rear and the spring! Sorry, but that did not work for me at all. The rear bottomed out, destroyed the shocks, dented the gas tank and handled like a brick.

After replacing the springs with HD 6 leaf units, removing the blocks, replacing the fuel tank and installing new shocks, I raised it back up 8-10 inches. Here's the "before" and "back to stock" pics:

What is the difference between the E38 and the E49?
Without getting into big details - the E38 had a 3 speed manual & no power assist on the brakes, the E49 had a 4 speed & power brakes. There was about 30hp more out of the 265 Hemi 6 in the E49 as well. The E38 was the first attempt, then they fixed it with the E49 the next year.:burnout:
