Morning Steve, that white notch (#3853) is sharp looking!!
Also wonder if the 69 "S"(#3855) is a true "S"?? Looks like it, PLUS chk out the 340-s emblems on the fender....some say 340-s emblems were NOT used on "S" cars, which doesnt make sense to me...either way thanks for this thread bud!!

Hey Steve!

Hoping all is well in your camp. Agree that white notch has a bad *** stance and those wheels have the right look.

Very good question about the 340 S emblem. I think I read that the cars came both ways and that it had to do with some combination options as I recall, but don't go to the bank on my memory! I did a little survey thru just a few of the 1969 Fastback pictures I have, and the initial results did nothing but add to my confusion (not hard to do - LOL!). Below are the pictures I found:

First 2 photos - The green car in question on #3855 with Formula S Ball on rear valance and 340 S on front fender

Second 2 photos - Another green car with both emblems

Third 2 photos - Blue fish with No Formula S Ball on rear valance and but has 340 S on front fender

Fourth 2 photos - Another blue fish with Formula S Ball on rear valance but No 340 S on front fender

Fifth 2 photos - Another green fish with Formula S Ball on rear valance but No 340 S on front fender (and no "Barracuda" emblem either).

I know there are a couple die hard 1969 guys who follow this thread (at least they use to anyway). Hope one of them will respond better to your question then I did - LOL!

Anyway, glad you are enjoying the picture show as much as I am...

Be safe!

Ma Snart

Yeah all good here! Thanks! Opportunities are popping up back home, so Im stoked!
Now to add even more confusion...take a look at the "Barracuda" script on the green cuda....3rd pic down. It is black inside...weird...I like it I have one just like it, but have never noticed another one before. Check this thread out I started

I liked that black in the script and did that to mine over 25 years ago !!! Thats what makes it hard sometimes to know what is really correct!! Plain or highlighted they still look good either way and sometimes you just have to go with what makes you happy! It is so hard to know what is factory correct all the time and if it matters to you . One thing for sure is all the 69 NOS emblems for sale have no black on them!!

Question about the white fish above.
Anyone know the source for those air vents shown either side of the monitor ?
