This thread is huge. Lots of great looking cars here. It's gonna take me a long time to see them all. In the meantime I'll add to it.
I just picked up a 72 Swinger Special in New Jersey a couple of weeks ago. It's a slant, automatic with the tiny 7 1/4 open rear with 276 gears. It's a rubber mat car, radio delete, with working air. The floor had a couple of holes which were fixed by the previous owner with aluminum, so that is going to have to be addressed. The rubber mat needs replacing, so I'm going to install carpet. Unfortunately the inside got wet from the holes and the car reeks inside. I'm sure the rubber mat is a huge part of the smell, but I'm sure the seats and foam reek because of it also. I'm now in the process of rebuilding the suspension and brake system. I've installed new Monroe Sensatrac coilover shocks in the rear and bought new leaf springs, but I must have had a senior moment, because I ordered B-body leafs by mistake. The good part about that is my buddy needs new leafs on the 68 GTX I sold him a bunch of years ago, so I'm gonna give them to him since I'm using his shop to work on my car. The correct springs will be coming soon. The car runs excellent except for a bad hesitation until it warms up. I'm torn between keeping it a slant and converting to a ground pounding 360. The rear will be replaced soon by an 8 3/4 suregrip with 323s that is sitting in my cellar. Not sure what I'll have to do with the driveshaft . I'm sure the length will be different. Hope you enjoy the pics.
Frank

Bought her down near the coast after spotting her on Cruise the Coast. 74, 225, automatic.

Unfortunately, this is her after we went to get her that night on the trailer from the parking lot of a motorcycle dealership in Hattiesburg. She made it about 2 hours (half way) before the ICM and coil burnt up from some tom-foolery in the wiring under the hood.

She's back up and running again now though. Hope to have to progress to show soon.

Here's my 62 Lancer--I have owned it since 1984----blueprinted .30 over 225 with cam-roller timing chain--.100 off the head--Offy manifold-390 no choke holley--electronic ign and regulator---early 4 spd---origional 14 X 7 chrome rims (1984)--clifford headers w/2in pipes and flowmasters. NOT FOR SALE

That is a gorgeous car. I love the older style body lines. I also live in the Treasure Valley. I live over in Nampa. I am originally from Spokane, WA and after I got out of the Marines my wife and I decided we would move here which is originally where she is from
