Well the Signet's been the same for a few years now so I deceided a few months back about a "small over-haul"! Nothing like a total rebuild or new paint job although I will re-paint the engine compartment (same colour) as the car with a little extra touch-ups. I will be removing the orginal 273, 904 and bagging them up. The Signet will be receiving my Son's 318 and 727. The 318 has the following:

Rebuilt 30 over;
318 HP heads in 360 cast (1.88/1.60);
340 cam, Edelbrock Performer Intake;
Holley 600 CFM;
MSD 6AL; and
K&N Filters.

The 727 was rebuilt a few years ago and has the following:
2500 Stall; and
Transgo TF-2 shift kit.

I will be staying with the same rearend and gears:
8.75 / 3:91

Additional work to Install:
Floorshift column;
TTI's (polished ceramic); and
All around new brakes.

Extras:
MP Valve Covers; and
Fuel pressure guage;

As soon as my TTI's get delivered next week I will pull the motor and start the fun "stuff". Lately, I have been getting the motor/trans ready to go and cleaning bolt-ons etc. Here's a few Pics.

Jesus Jimmy a 318? Hell, drop a big assed BB in that puppy and give yourself a permanent woody. Come On, you know you'll like it and you already got the tranny and rear end. Leo, you can interject anytime.
The 318 does look purdy though.
Terry :burnout:

Looks outstanding!!!
You a very meticulous Jimmy boy.
The breather and valve cover's are a good choice.
Did you do some painting on that alternator!! Looks great.

Looks good man! Sounds like a big overhaul to me....that 318 should haul ***. I removed my old tired 273 and put in a free 318 I got and it runs great....no going back to 273's. I just have one thing to add, don't you want the engine to be red?

65s (Niel), It's just a engine/car match thing. I know it's the wrong colour for the block year...but so is the body colour "right" At least it's Chysler blue :lol:

MoparFreak, I'm really not to sure. If I'm lucky maybe 280-290. Maybe someone could tell me??

Lookin good Jimmy Boy!
Why not paint the block Street Hemi orange to make it look like a 340?

Well today I completed installing my front brakes. I deceided to start cleaning the front lower suspension areas and wheel wells. It's been a while, I couldn't ever remember that a guy could haul away a dump truck full of dirt from under their :lol: Anyways, for a "not" total rebuild; it should look pretty good when repainted ect. Hopefully I can get pic's tomorrow.
:wav:
Cheers, Jim

Are you repainting the whole car or just the engine bay?

Did you change your front brakes to disc or something, or just overhaul them?

Hi Neil...hope your doing fine these days :thumbup:

#1. Engine Bay..same colour as car.
#2. Just a overhaul..No disc's this time around.

Looking good. Can't wait till i get to the front. but i guess i need to finish the floors first.
Jeff

You sure manage to keep that car clean Jimmy, especially for a daily driver, oh to be retired :lol: I finally got a new motor for the daughters car so hopefully I can get that out of my shop soon. Can you believe that a brand new 350, 4 bolt main, long block, crate motor only costs $1619? :shock: Too bad the Mopar guys can't get with that program :banghead:

Well, the lord must be telling me something! Went out to flash the car and the starter was toast. "therefore" I might as well get rolling. I ripped that sucker apart and pulled the 273 within fourteen hours from scratch. My back will never be the same.
Tommorow I will remove "all" the electrical/steering column and work on the cluster area before I start to do sanding on the engine compartment.
Good news today as well....After waiting "two months" my TTIs will be in Victoria for pick-up on Friday. (about freaking time) :cussing:
More to come as progress gets along
Cheers guys/gals... :thumbup:

Wow..you're in big now man! Good luck. Looks good! If I was in Victoria I'd come over and give you a hand, but I won't be there until maybe November.

Got a really good cluster circuit board and connector, (pins excellent and firm) so I decieded to over-haul the complete cluster itself. Although I didn't send it in for chrome edging, she looks a lot better.

I completely re-built and modified the "67" power steering column to fit my 69 manual box. This is the orginal floor shift column I waited over two year for. (the only hole in the housing is for the turn lever). :thumbup:

And, yes...after six weeks, I "finally" got the TTIs. (polished ceramic). They should look great!
