So i rewired my dart a couple months ago with an American Autowire power plus 13 kit. Everythimg went great but after two days of cussing and bent into positions the human body shouldnt be i gave up with only the blower motor wiring and wiper wiring to be done. My problem is the FSM shows 4 wires to the wiper motor and some sort of circuit breaker. I have no idea what im doing with those. The wiring kit has one wire labeled wiper motor and its a constant hot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

First time I have heard of single speed. likely a two speed. See if this helps.

Looks pretty simple. Sorry I did not see it was such an early model. With 3 poles can’t be to hard to figure out. The later models had the breaker built in the switch so it must be a separate item. I would think the motor is grounded so you have a hot at the switch. One leg gets switched to motor at run and the other is a park signal.

Wipers are a mess. I always suggest the factory manual, what is available at MyMopar, and go check out the Passion website, he has some info there

Also check MyMopar and see if they have a bulletin the "Master Service Tech" stuff there

Well crap i think you struck gold. That made my day a whole lot better. Thank you. Im gonna print it out and toss it in the car folder.

Wiper wiring can be confusing. One reason is that they used some of its terminals as a power feed to other nearby components. The other is that there were several different switches - single, variable speed, sometimes windshield washer pump (push in knob). As I recall from my 64 & 65 A's, the V-4 & V-5 are a separate cable w/ red & yell wires that was added to the standard harness if variable-speed option. I recall the v-s option requires both a different motor and switch.

I wired my wipers with this diagram for single speed and the work great, park function and all. The diagram in the book had two more circuits for back-up lights and something else coming off the switch and it confused me.
