Slant 6 almost in the 12's!

I went down to US41 yesterday for a track rental and played around with my spray some more. I ended up running a best of 13:28@100 on a 75 horse shot with the exhaust open, and 13:45@98 with it closed. Best it ran on motor was 15:12@89 with the exhaust closed. :bom:

If that wasn't enough, my buddy Bill drove the car 80 miles home when his Dart broke a shifter cable. :mrgreen:

The car is a '66 Valiant 2 door post, 232ci Slant 6, 904 by 727specialists, 3.91 8-3/4, and weighs 3250 w/me in it. :drunken:

GotDart-Yeah, the thing picked up 3-1/2 tenths in just the 60'. :shock:

I tried a 100 shot and it didn't seem to work very well. I hope to get good enough weather to try it out at least once more this year. :bom:

Mopardude-When I switched to the 8-3/4 it really didn't seem to slow the car down any. Besides, I like the ease of changing gears. :mrgreen:
