I just found a rebuilt 225 to drop in my 64 GT, but I want to put it on an engine stand and check it out a bit. What size are the bolts for the bellhousing, so I'll have my engine stand ready to accept it?

My '62 has 7/16" on all the lower bolts; seems like the 2 upper ones were 3/8"; block is out at the shop right now so cannot check. Edit to add: nope, the bell housing looks like it has 7/16" all around.

x2 about the stand, I "had" the T style stand, needless to say I bumped it going around one day with the torch tanks and over it went.. now I have a decent H style one that can take my clumsyness:D I sure will be glad to get going on that engine to get it back into the car

The larger bolts go into the transmission. They are thru holes on the engine side (no threads), so use a nut on your engine stand.
