Can you run a truck sump pan in a abody with orginal k frame?

Are you sure you really need anything special. How quick are you looking to go and what rpm. Tricks are for rabbits. 9.40’s here at 138 mph with a melling pump and zero tricks shifting at 7000 ever pass.

What is your pan type and pump etc that you are using for 9:40s

Melling high volume pump, milidon pan, 10-30 Brad Penn oil.

I tried a Canton oil pan to gain more clearance for an engine diaper and my oil pressure was dropping early in the run so I put the Milidon pan back on and modified my headers for clearance

I was hoping you could be more specific. Rear sump, swinging pickup

If you check it out on Summits site. it’s a front sump but not a true front sump if you know what I mean. I use the fixed pickup that milidon recommends that screws into the oil pump like a stock one. I run 7 quarts of oil

Titan speed engineering sells a billet pump costly though $1160 retail through them.

Melling pumps are fine just wanted to know if someone newer or improved is an option.
