I see the end rubber seals are sticking out a little on each side of the rear main cap. Are they too long and supposed to be cut off or left as is? Thank you.

Dont cut it off, overlap the side gaskets, just a pea sized dab of RTV in those 4 corners of the pan gasket.

Cheers

Yes use a razor blade and cut it off.
Use a dab of black RTV in the corners then lay the gasket down n put another little dot of RTV in the corners again. Now paint a skinny line at the front and rear where the pan seals go on, with line across where the pan seal locator holes are, and install them... then draw a skinny rtv line down the pan around each hole..and set it on, thread the center and corner bolts to start.. then the rest.. then snug them all, center to ends back n forth with a 1/4 inch drive ratchet ...use only your wrist to torque them paying attention to the material squish. Cork is easy to see, go over them all same order 2 more times with the same wrist tension feeling for the same resistance.

Leave them, all the stock type main seals have them.

I never "ring" the bolt holes. I figure if the oil gets to the bolt threads, you are going to have a leak.
