Hey guys,
Went to see Snake & Mongoose yesterday. Only one theater in North Carolina showing it. Concord, N.C.. It was my son's 13th birthday and he wanted to see it, so we drove almost 4 hrs one way to see it and I must say I was impressed! If you are a drag racer in your mid to late 40's or up, you will like it. It has original footage and a good drama script. If you are not a hot rodder, you probably will not like it. I followed Snake & Mongoose from 1970 until Snake's Last Strike tour and saw Mongoose win the US Nationals against Snake in 1978 on ABC wild world of sports, and the movie showed me a lot of things that I did not know. Lots of Cameo shots as well as old footage. Don and Tom both had a small part in the movie. All n All, I liked it, and believe it or not my wife liked it too. She thought it was going to be a documentary, but it was not. I will have to own the DVD when it comes out. If you get a chance I recommend it.
Later Guys,
Martin
