So we looked for a smaller coffee table to put in front of our love seat for over a year. I finally gave up and told my wife I would just make one. She was not terribly enthusiastic at first, but I told her if she didn’t like it, I would toss it. The top is ¾” angle stopcock, and all the rest is 1” square tube. 16 separate pieces with a lot of welding and then a lot of grinding to make the welds as perfect as possible. Then I powder coated it with Architectural Bronze with a top coat of satin clear (both from Eastwood). The wood on top was leftover from when my wife and I put hardwood floors (by ourselves) in our house. We like it.

Looks great!

Have you considered adding planking to the lower deck and maybe adding a basket underneath for storage?

My wife and I built our own after shopping and finding nothing we wanted to buy. About $150 compared to $1500

I personalized mine, all original vintage Alaskan aviation items under the glass panels.

Looks Amazing. I would have done something like that if I had woodworking skills. Great job.

Your rendition is exactly what I wanted to do, but my wife had other ideas. She is currently looking for just the right wicker basket(s) for the lower level.
