Soft pedal

I have a 69 Barracuda with stock power disc brakes. The pedal always feels soft and doesn't stop worth the damn. I have bled the system numerous times and it never gets better. There's no air bubbles coming out when bleeding, only clean fluid. So I suspect a bad master cylinder but is there any way to prove it without swapping it out?

Put foot pressure on it; if it starts sinking- bad.

Make sure your rear drums are well adjusted or it will give you a low pedal.

The rear adjusters are working fine and the shoes are adjusted up to where they need to be.

If it is the cylinder you might want to upgrade to the late model Mopar master cylinder. I did and it looks better and also stops better than the old type. There is adaptor plate that is needed. You might can find both cheaper else where.
