Some reasons for EFI conversions tend to work out better than others.

Right, a stepper is going to have a connector with four wires (on a Mopar at least; six wire versions exist elsewhere). On the TBI, it's a bit of an oddball that works like a moving throttle stop. On Magnum motors and just about anything else, it will have a cone on the end that slides into an air passage.

As I said in the other thread, I've been planning on writing up an EFI primer. It's not meant to get into specifics about particular parts or what have you but rather it will outline what's needed for successful conversions and illuminate what the advertising may not necessarily tell you. No, I haven't done it yet but if we get the EFI forum I absolutely will do it.

I'm on my third Holley EFI install and know my way around them pretty well. I'm not an expert by any stretch but I do get pretty deep into data logging and creating my own "tunes". I actually enjoy that kind of thing.

I think a lot of people like the idea of EFI but may not necessarily grasp what's involved with a successful installation. My hope is that if/when we do get a dedicated EFI forum the article would either help someone decide for or against it.

A dedicated EFI forum here would be great!
