I bought a pair of the 190 CNC heads on Black Friday. Speedmaster doesn't publish flow data for them and I couldn't find any online. Since I was having a local shop look them over, I had one flowed.

Installed height is advertised at 1.9, these measured at 1.875. I got the set with springs for flat tappet cams. They measured #[email protected] and #[email protected]. Guide fit was good and no assembly issues. I've measured two chambers on one head and got 66cc one one and 67cc on the other. My methods are not lab quality, so that 1cc difference could be me.

Thats pretty good flow right? I got a set of these same ones.

i dont understand the other stuff about height, pounds or what not but I will be fine with my basic setup.

Have some quality control issues with them, but Im going to ride them like a blonde on christmas.

I notice some guide boss flaking in a few exhaust ports, any of the same in the intakes?

Nice #,s

It's only on the exhaust. I intend to clean those places up when I prep them (they'll get disassembled and washed good before I bolt them on).

Another set of these were flowed on a different bench a couple years ago. Thread linked below, posts 12 and 18.

What did the shop think of them? Did anything need correcting?

They were impressed with the way the flow numbers kept going up, they didn't stall at the higher lifts. No issues with guide fit or anything else. No metel chips or dirt, but I'll still give them a good cleaning.

What's the going price to have a set of new heads checked out like that?

I looked at that thread when I got them and somehow overlooked those post.
Your heads have CNC shaped chambers, correct? I think that’s what I see in the pictures. Mine were the same way. Others received the CNC ports with non CNC chamber, the way I would have preferred them.

They are CNC'd chambers.

To me it's interesting they really show no improvement in flow over the 170s that I got with a competition valve job until about 600 lift and then they're show a large improvement.

Here is another set of CNC SM heads. Had a performance valve job done on these, flowed before and after the valve job....pretty close to your numbers.

These were new fully assembled heads. Also upgraded the valve springs. PAC 1903 installed height 1.80 @ 140 ish lbs.

Looks like the valve job picked up around 14 to 15 cfm.

While i paid a bit more for the set I got from Speedmaster (non-Black Friday), I have been very impressed with them thus far. I dyno'd my 408 build and it made 640/613...

Impressive. I haven't been on the dyno yet, spring probably, so it's interesting to see what other people are making. What cam/intake/headers/carb are you running?

Dyno’d with an 850 Holley and will go with an 950
