ops:1973 Duster, My plan was to remove instrument cluster & replace cluster bulbs with LED's. In order to remove cluster I unclipped speedometer cable connector from speedometer, but in the process of pulling out the cluster the speedometer cable itself (part that goes into the back of speedo) remained stuck in the speedo & pulled out with the cluster? I easily pulled it out & pushed it back into the speedometer cable sheath until it bottomed out. Questions? Did it just break? (was working fine before removal) Will I have no speedometer if I reinstall it? Does it have to be replaced? Thanking You in advance for any experience concerning this situation.
