SS springs and?

-
Well the OP hasnt been on in a few months. I was going to ask some questions about this today no sense starting a new thread.

I read somewhere the other day that SS springs WORK good when set up right... What are they talking about or refering too? Whats different then put the front hangar on and then the rear shackle? I got new ones and dont see any adjustment.

I put them on my 63 dart and am happy with the ride height. I did not get longer shocks.

I am unhappy with the 1 inch difference in ride height between the passenger and drivers side.
If I did it again I probably would get 2 passenger side springs so I would have a more level ride.

Put two pass side SS springs on the car if you don't like the lopsided look.

Changing the front torsion bar setting can help with the lopsided look.

Too high in rear, get some good lowering blocks and slap them in. I would not put a block only on the pass side to level.

If using SS springs, pretty much everything you need to know is in the chassis book. rear shackle and pinion angle are really important... :) Did I mention rear shackle angle.

what chassis book? from what i read you want the rear hangars kicked towards the front and a pinion angle of -5 - 7 degerees right?

i dont mind being raised a bit but i do mind the lopsided ness. I already got the springs so i cant exactly buy to of one side.

Level loader spring shocks from Advance Auto Parts.

Your pinion angle will probably be off. Mine was off so far that I had to order (2) 2 degree shim kits from Summit racing and it's still only about 0 degrees. I'll probably have to have my perches cut off and re-welded to obtain the correct angle. You will find that it will make a horendous noise if you try to drive it like that.

what does this noise sound like?????
