Starting line controller

Last fall I bought a new race car that had a delay box,throttle stop and starting line controller. This year it will have a new motor,no throttle stop or delay box. Hoping for low 9's this year. Should I put the starting line controller back on,does anyone run them. Car is a 71 demon,435 small block with a power glide
