steering box removal

Has anyone pulled a steering box out of a 71 dart with a 360? Getting ready to but I'd like to know the pitfalls? Do I have to raise the motor? I really don't like the trial and error method although God knows I've done that enough lately on this project. Any help is appreciated.

you did not say where it is power or manual but it is basciall the same..

knock out round pin ......remove steering column...remove drag link.....you can either remove pitman arm ...remove steering box......you can remove pitman arm while box is still on the car or after you remove steering box..

if power steering ....remove the hose before removing box from car.

Thanks. Power steering. Looks like a tight fit, was hoping I would not have to lift the motor.
