Hey all, I'm looking for some help understanding the steering column set up for my '70 Duster. I'm converting a /6, manual steering, column shifter car to a small block V8, power steering, 4 speed car.

I'm getting the Borgeson steering box and I'm wondering about connecting the current manual steering column (via Bergman adapter). Will the current /6 manual steering column work? I'm only asking about the physical connection to the Borgeson box (ie. length, teeth on column, routing of column, etc). I'm planning on changing the collars out on the column shift unit so that it's visually correct for the floor shifter.

Thanks in advance.

The manual steering column shaft is longer than a power steering column. There is an adapter available to go from power to manual I think your options
would be to find a power steering or column or cut the shaft and use a universal coupler.

Ok, thanks. Looks like I'm on the hunt for a column.

A Power steering column needs adapter to go to manual steering power steering column is shorter as box is bigger
You can see the adapter right before the manual steering box

Also have 70 pwer steering column in green for sale column shift

The info I gave you was concerning factory mopar steering boxes. The Borgenson box is smaller
so your manual steering column may work.

100 plus shipping i believe the turn signals may be bad but can swap yours
