Hello, Im going a swap of steering columns. I have the one out of my 72 Scamp intact. Switching over to manual steering and floor shift. I have to swap key tumblers since the other one didnt come with a key. Should I also swap the wiring harnesse and turn signal wiring?

I guess it all depends what shape the wiring is in. For me since it's already apart I would be putting a new turn signal switch and ign switch in it.

I do have it apart. The wiring on both is good. I just wondered what if it would connect to the harness ok Im assuming they are different year columns.

If the plugs at the end of the harness are the same , should plug and play.

The appearence of the wirie doesn't tell the whole story.
You could use a Ohms meter to do a side by side comparison and find the better of the 2 used switches but... used is the key word there.
Then again, new switches are most likely made in Chana and may not last longer than either of those used switches. Bottom line, It's a roll of the dice any way you go.
Good luck

well i have 3 different columns so 3 sets of switches. I just wasnt sure if there was going to be a difference in wiring.
