So this isn't the solution for on a budget. The unfinished column was ~$600, plus the floor plate, the adapter for the steering wheel and a steering wheel. The stock floor plate will not work as the Flaming River column is smaller in diameter. The stock steering wheel will work if you remove the key way but it leaves a large gap between the column and the back of the steering wheel. The column used the stock clamp, just bolt it on and go. All wiring harnesses are included. I had to heckle and jeckle the Flaming river tech for info and it was still a leap of faith but it work as planned.

Below circled in red is the Zerk fitting for the slider, remove the zerk and out comes the "D" shaft. There is a milled slot in the "D" shaft that is the min/max for the slide distance. The zerk is the stop for the slot.

"Is that a tunnel rework for a TKO?" Yes, yes it is.

And the steering wheel, what can I say. It turned out great! I love this wheel. Made by GT Performance.

Someone needs to fix that shift knob.

i wonder if this has more to do with the headers than the steering coupler? Does this also take place with TTI's?
