Wow...I am a dummy. So, that being said, the steering linkage on my 69 Barracuda. I have just learned that the tie rod ends thread both left and right into the sleeve. Makes perfect sense when adjusting if you think about it. Question is, when ordering new tie rod ends, two would be left hand threaded and two would be right. Are left or right hand threaded ends considered inner or outer ends, I have two good ones that match what was on the car and two that won't work. Both of the good ones are left hand threaded. Need to know what to order for the other two. Right hand threaded or inners or outers....I am so damn confused....sigh...

Looks like inner is left-hand threads and outer is right hand. It can be put together backwards, but you may confuse an alignment guy........

I came across a similar issue years ago when I was working on my 69 sport satellite. Previous owner had inners and outers switched around. When I went to replace them I never noticed. I tried putting the outers on and they wouldnt go LOL. I butchered the threads on the new ones and I took them back to Canadian Tire saying they were mis packaged....they took them back and then I realized what the previous owner had done!

Thanks for the answers. New problem. The outer tie rod ends are not the same as the inner. The inner apear to be the same as what was originally on the car.
And the oiginals, all four, appear to be the same except for the threads. In the complete rebuild kit I bought, the inner are the same as what was on the car and the outers are different. When you try to put it together the outers grease boot pancakes down to almost nothing. Makes me think it won't really hold grease the way it should. So I went and bought another set of moog and they appear to have the same problem? Anyone know if this is correct? Thanks for any input you may have. Mike
