Steering shaft: cancelling pin vs. master spline location

Hoping someone can help me out. I don't have a stock steering wheel anymore, so I don't have a reference.
Sitting in the car with the master spline at 12:00, which side is the turn signal cancelling pin on?

At the 9:00 position , which puts it between the two cancelling fingers.

Thanks! I found this pic and it appears to jive with what you're saying. Master spline on top with pin at 9:00.
