Hi all, I have a Dodge horn button and am wondering if anyone has swapped centers?
I'm looking to swap to the "rocket/plymouth" center if possible.
Thanks
Steve

Steve, post a photo of the back side.

My guess is like the 67 the plastic insert is held in be crushed pins, maybe they could be drilled out and tapped for small screws

I suspect you would be better off looking for the button as a whole.

Assuming the center plastic can come out...

I might be able to reverse engineer it and make one out of a suitable material.

I recently went through something like this on my Polara

The button I was working from has a cast in Chevy logo in it, I used a Dremel to grind out the center. I found the logo on eBay, they only had the Dodge (probably had a run done fore his own project), might be able to contact them about doing the Plymouth one.

Alan
I'll post a pic up shortly Dana, I'm not crazy about damaging anything.

That's just like the 67 dart horn button.

I have not removed the plastic part by drilling out the smashed posts to remove the retainer, the one missing smush should shed some light as to how much material you have to work with.

That's what I did with my 1965 Dart Charger center.
