Will these air cleaners fit on an edelbrock carb?

Yes, most of the time, you may, repeat, may need a spacer to clear something, but I doubt it. Air Cleaner dependent. Year & model of car can help I.D type of air cleaner. Mr.Gasket or Spectre has these spacers cheap.

the 2 sizes i believe are 4 7/8" or 5 1/4".

OH! I thought it was gum, sorry.
I think your right. I have an older AFB that needs that adapter.

I do not know what auto parts you have in Canada but Advance Auto Parts has a air cleaner adapter kit with adapters for 2 and 4 barrel carbs.

For my 273 4bbl air cleaner I used a cheap, 9 or 10 inch
fits all air cleaner base.

I took the air cleaner, and base with me to Advance Auto parts,
and tried different filters to fit.
Took only 3 tries to find the air filter element.
