Stop in for a cup of coffee

at our dealer we had a big tank and a special regulated digital screen and you had to hook up all 4 tires at once before it would start filling. good idea, but the screen almost never worked correctly and it freaked out all the time.
Wow! Nitrogen is regulated in CA? Nitrogen? 78% of the air we breathe is nitrogen, and to regulate it to that extent seems a bit extreme, IMO.

"Careful putting nitrogen in those Challenger tires there, Fred! We don't want to have any nitrogen leaking out into the atmosphere!"

I still have the window sticker on my truck. My FIL bought it new and I didn't know I had all the paperwork on it.

I'm running nitrogen in my tires and never had a low tire even when temp drops to 30 below.
Back when I was racing, I ran Nitrogen in my slicks and front tires. Set the pressure in the morning and they were good for the day. Less than a 1/4-pound difference after a run. Guys around me started using it also.

Yea they sure got expensive real fast. I would trade my 09 that is a nice truck for an older one that I know how to work on.
Well, my '92 F250 came from Portland, OR, and it is CLEAN.

Seems to me I know a guy that's going out there sometime soon, maybe you can work a deal with him. I'm just sayin'.....

You going to stop and visit me on the route?

LF TPMS monitor battery is dead. $70 each. Replace them all while the tires are off. 7 years. Not bad life I guess.
Got them on. It took less than an hour. Nothing $1700 wouldn't handle. :mob:

Other Energy Options Sought as the End of TPMS Battery Life ...

TPMS sensor batteries typically last 5 to 10 years, with the average being around 7 years. Since these batteries are sealed inside the sensor, they are not user-replaceable, and the entire sensor must be replaced once the battery dies. The lifespan is influenced by factors like driving habits (more frequent use shortens life) and environmental conditions.

Amazing what these go for.

I had a nice one given to me. No pedestal though. Theres a business in Canada that sells everything for them, even parts to convert the newer metric model to older imperial style. I wanted to order the repair parts, havent got to it yet.

At the Ford dealer there was a nitrogen generator, same thing, 4 hoses. To go from air to nitrogen took an hour, and it was near impossible to do any other work while it was running. Real time waster for techs, and service writers could have done it in one of their quick service lanes.

Got fender to door gaps tuned up, shimmed front of cab up 3/16”. If that.
Pulled old gas out, have fresh premium going back in. $35 for not quite 5 gallons. Maybe kick it out soon.
