Stop in for a cup of coffee

I felt like I was in the old desert homeland a little bit ago  The black Express was parked in an usual fashion. Windshield facing the afternoon sun. The dash board thermometer said 117°

Yea. Never been there so going to be 4 days that I sit in the desert in a motor home waiting to pick up my son when he fly's into Phoenix.
I'll have a car and motorcycle to ride around, should be a fun time as long as the cold weather doesn't fallow me down that far.
The rugrat says weather has been pretty good lately in Phx.

Yuma is about an hour and a half south of there, down State highway 95.

Territorial prison is a nice visit and there is an old town area, some eateries and such.

Not sure if you can still go watch the Military Freefall students out at the drop zone. It's on the way to Martinez Lake off of 95. Always entertaining.

North you can head up toward Havasu City or go crazy and go to Prescott.

Phoenix is freaking chaos with traffic. I'd avoid that.

Good to know that thanks. Airport and back at 10:00 pm so hope it's not to crazy.
Thought about taking a drive to Yuma and checking it out.

I liked Yuma when I lived there. Of course, it's been 20 years now. HOLY CRAP....

Mr. G's Drive in for tacos

Chretins restaurant was a good spot for sit down food.

The last two from a class cycle 317… now just me :(

I was discussing that with my son on the best route to take and I figure I-5 will be a nightmare going through the big cities and figure the Eastern route away from I-5 would be better.
Hit up the Snowbirds. They'll know the best routes. Quartzite and Yuma will be full of license plates from up North. Find someone from Washington.

I-10 through LA can be bypassed on the I-210 West, merges with I-5 in the LA suburbs before Grapevine pass. Once you're in the San Joaquin Valley Hiway 99 parallels I-5 on east side of the valley. Lot more scenic. 99 & 5 meet up by Sacramento. north of Sac, you're on your own

@Unconventional

What's the prognostication for the Chefs v Texass Texasses? Will Ma-homes and Ma-auto get it together for the Swifties tonight?

Texas defense was a blur of red uniforms last I saw them. May have Mahomes running for his life all night

Kind of want the Texans to lose but I’d love to see the chiefs eliminated too
