Stop in for a cup of coffee

Damn, I have a heater core leak. I'll just bypass it for now. :mob::mob::mob:
I cruised an hour round trip on the interstate to a car cruise. That car is a bit wonky over dips in the road. It doesn't bounce straight up and down. It kind of bounces up on the right and down to the left but it seemed better on the way home. Something is loosening up it seems. I'll take it in for an alignment just to make sure all is well and it doesn't eat tires up. I came home and parked it outside so I can work on it more tomorrow.
I'm sure you will get everything working right soon.

Well, got a phone call saying the Key will be dropped off at 5pm this morning a bit after I posted this , well shhhhugar.. :BangHead:
So I kept my feet going and installed my alternator and sealed up water system bolts one at a time, I installed water pump and chain cover area few days ago so that's all done, grill put back on almost, just need the hood latch brace and set hood latch in place..

Sun is shining  but !! I better stay at this while my ambitious attitude is in drive ..

Hopefully everyone is enjoying there day at work or at home today as much as toolman is enjoying his new 64 Beuity B Body around friends, let see those pictures @toolmanmike

Don't forget a charged up battery.

I have not, biggest positive change for me is the transition to EFI. I will never go back.
What did you use for efi? Seems people have problems of all kinds across all brands. Dennis wants me to set up his firebird with efi, im not happy with any i have been reading about. Also i want to buy the whole deal like a one stop shop.

Wow, Lauren is in the middle or a contract negotiation at her work (after the 90 day trial) and they are in the middle of a huge bank computer program rollout. She has been tasked twice the amount of work that she can get done in a day yet she is not authorized to work any overtime to get it done She was hired as a level 1 and at a lower wage knowing she can't do it all, fast. She obviously can't keep up. The people that schedule the work that may take an hour may take several hours and they don't know how long it will take when they schedule it. Make sense? Sorry. Frustrating right now.

same type situation her with wife getting new accounts from a sister company that are a mess and people helping that are corporate...is it done? yes. is it done right, doesn't matter, it's done.

Shocks or a broken leaf spring

Didnt get far with anything today. Keith, Charlie,Dwaine, and my son twice. I knew as soon as it warmed up i would be getting more visitirs. Son borrowed car hauler and turned on the light on the jack. Why? Dunno. I did start working on relocating my air hose reel. That took a while.

One of my favorite breakfasts in Vietnam. Bo Ne. Grilled beef with onions and I always add some more hot red peppers. Getting used to them now. Then, I have taken to forming the inside of a half a loaf of bread and stuffing it with the goodness. The other half of the bread sops up the left over gravy and juices. I always tell them I want a double portion of the meat. They know me now. Every time I come there they are ready for me. Lol. 60,000 dong = $2.30 USD......

Yesterday I was at a different Cafe than normal. I saw this sitting outside getting ready to lead a funeral caravan. Lol. I sure do want to get me one of these here in Vietnam. Maybe when I come back in the fall...

Sounds typical

I've never seen this guy before in Vinh Long. But he pulls up in front of the Café by the River today. He grabbed the smaller ship off and walked it around. Pretty damn good craftsmanship, and he makes them himself he told me. The smaller one is $46 USD. The larger one is $120 USD. Probably quadruple that price to buy something like that in America..

Check the frame where the leaf spring mounts... I had a 70 swinger that did that and the frame had rotted and caused unstablility on highway bumps and turns... My leaf springs were about 6 months old... The frame where the front leaf spring mounts had rotted away... But check both the front and rear frames where the springs mount...

Was sorry to hear you lost your friend Doug. Recall you mentioning him many times. But this is just insane that the guy is not behind bars. Can only hope there is a method to such madness. Do you think the guy is just a lone a hole? He's obviously arrogant and thinking he got away with something. That usually stems from being part of something bigger and thinking he is somehow protected. Maybe they are looking for him to reveal a next level a hole. Or maybe we have just all gone that deep in a shthole...

The guy who hit him was known to always speed through the neighborhood... He had a hot rod BMW with loud mufflers... Many neighbors used to complain... This has been going on for years... Eddie even saw it when we were building his Dart in 2016 and stopped by Doug's house... Doug lived on the main street in the hood... He used to yell at that guy to slow down all the time when he passed by...

Doug saw him speeding again that day and flagged down a cop later who went to the station and made a report... Then later that same day he followed Doug's son home and ran Doug over and killed him on purpose when raging at Doug's kid... The guy didn't even hit the brakes, just gunned it and aimed for Doug as he was crossing the street to ask his son why they were in an argument... Doug and his wife just got back from walking the dogs around the block and saw the commotion...

Then his lawyer tried to claim that he was scared and it was self defense... It wasn't self defense, because he did a u-turn to come back and continue the argument with Doug's son... If the guy would have just kept going and went home this wouldn't have happened, he wanted to keep it going and escalate it and came back for more... The judge is known for being lenient on offenders and was transferred out here from the city because of it...

They did revoke the guy's gun owners card and took all of his guns now that he's charged with a felony... 27 year old hot head male...

The cops started giving speeding tickets on his street after this happened, but it's too late to save Doug, the damage is already done... But it may save someone else, a kid, adult, or pet...

My dad always told us never speed in your own neighborhood, because if something happens, your reputation will catch up with you...

Doug was a great guy... He liked to hang out, tell sick offensive jokes, work on cars, and fed anyone who was hanging out at his house when it was dinner time... Sometimes he would invite groups of friends and family over to eat and him and his wife would cook on the bbq and/or oven and feed all of us... He would fit in with us in the coffee thread, but he wasn't an old Mopar guy (yet), he did have a Hellcat, a 90's Buick Regal that he had a custom built 600 HP 3.8L with dual turbos, a Willys, and bought an AMX last summer... He was starting to collect old classic cars.... He also served in the Marines...

He would criticize me if I did a quick stop in and left, he always wanted to hang out for a few hours... He used to fix my daily driver for me and give me good deals, just to cover parts and a little time for his labor... He would fix cars in his driveway for side money on weekends or his day off... He also has a 300 gallon salt water fish tank in his living room that he drained halfway every two weeks and topped off with fresh water to keep it clean...

There is a 91 year old man living across the street from him and Doug and his son would cut his lawn all summer and clear the snow for him in the winter... Doug would send plates of food over to him every day for him to eat... The guy was too old to drive and let Doug park cars in his driveway... It worked out well for everyone involved... The old guy can live at home instead of in a nursing home...

Doug was a great guy with a big heart and would help you if you were in need...

I seen that here also I believe, not tested is weird because how hard can it be to hook it up
I couldn't attempt to sell it with out hooking it up to test it, always seemed weird to me.

Maybe he's concerned it doesn't work and doesn't want to know so he can ask more money and play ignorant if it doesn't work...
