Def Leopard at the State Fair tomorrow night. Tickets are $69-$134. I wouldn't mind seeing them but the concert is at 8 and it's a 2 hour drive home.

Morning ! Finally got some rain!!
Same here but not much, rained yesterday evening and at 4am this morning, possibly 1/4 inch, just enough to keep me from watering my Japanese maples (2) time to get my hands and mind busy, hope everyone has a good start to this Wensday we are looking at.
My two sons are 44 and 42 now, and that barracuda was the very first moPar to race at our dirt track with a rv 318 , took a 4th in the A main first time out, second week to second in the B main and pull in with a flat.. many great nights in that 73 barracuda .

The Mid-State Fair up the road about 90 minutes has concerts every night for 10 days. Big fair grounds, tiny parking lot :BangHead:. The School District used to run their busses for a small fee as shuttles. Those that live near the fairgrounds rent their yards for parking .
Big time musicians usually, this year not so much.

Already startin the day off around here like this. I should be used to it by now.

:BangHead:

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rascal Flatts, Hank Williams Jr, Def Leopard, and Hairball plus a list of performers I haven't heard of.

The County Fair here always had good entertainment too. When my brat was about 5 yrs old Jimmy Buffett was here, got tickets for all three of us. 5 minutes after Buffett started playing, the brat turned Parrot Head on us  She was dancin' in the aisles and havin' a grand ole time

I would give a nut for a such a neighbor. Do yall believe I pay my only helper to not be here? I do. OK, wife and I do. About a year ago we talked my son and daughter in-law to move in, provide hospice care for my mom and pop. Mom is gone a year now but pops still twitching. We must sell the 67 fish in order to continue sending money to 3 Looper St. In a month's time the fish has been washed, tires pumped up and its rolled down to where the tools are. I can't work on it. At this rate it might hit the market by valentine's day. Again not whining, just saying. Cheers

Here it is, middle of August, I got the munchies for a donut. Had to turn on the heater in the pickup :realcrazy: Shouldn't surprise me though, it was about this time of year I went to JC Pennys to order that snowmobile suit to work at South Vandenberg

About donuts. Pillsbury Toaster Donuts, Boston Cream, in pink box. When wife and I were young a Carolina Cream Bakery had a custard eclaire and a good coffee. We would get that sugar shock and go at it like rabbits. The good ol' dayz. Even the bakery is no more. The memory brought a smile this morning.
