Emilio, this car has been found a couple years back, getting restored to it's 70's blown glory. Hot Rod ran an article on it, a few years back. Somewhere, around the Ventura,CA area.

Yeah, I know.. The uniqueness is taken away,soulful cool work,lost for money in restoration. I love high end numbers match cars restored, once a tasteful hot rod is restored to stock, all the work & effort(& unique) is lost forever.

Here's my own rendition of a 70's Street Machine: 73 440 Duster
Prior to adding front and rear Direct Connection spoilers, Dual Snorkel Scoop, Hood Tach and many other direct connection goodies and still trying to track down some more to add.(If any one has any let me know I am interested)
I am currently painting the roof and center hood section (along with all mentioned above exterior parts to match the roof/hood) with truck bed liner.
Next need to install the headers and under hood wiring to be ready to fire.
Slowly but surely getting there :burnout:

Last few pics are how she is sitting now minus the primer on the roof where vinyl top used to be.

Emilio, absolutely love it! I'm 47, wouldn't build a hot rod,any other way.Extra Kudos: Engine is fitted, that's a good thing.

Wish I was born about 45 years ago to truly live through the time it was popular.rayer:
Unfortunately I can only try to recreate the style to be enjoyed for years to come.

Emileo, those retro Daisy's look great there. Take your time. The secret here : needing it " now", cranks the price up. Take your time, enjoy the ride. This is a hobby, enjoy the learning & the ride.

Well Abodybomber he does say in the add that he would trade fro a mopar

"1967 Camaro Convertible. Time capsule show car! This heavily customized 1967
Camaro was done back in the late 70s & early 80s. It was popular at the World of
Wheels shows as well as many others. It's been off the radar tucked in a garage
for many years and has never been on the market since new.

Flip Front End
Power Windows (all working)
Etc... No Expense spared during the build (Over $70K) in that era.
This is a "Mirrors underneath" style show car from back in the day. The bottom is as clean as the top. Never rust anywhere on this car.
As far as trades I'd consider an odd ball 1969-1971 mopar or a 1970-1973 Trans AM"

This is a 1987 Dakota Sport I built in the late 80's. The little Dak was originally a V6 w/5 speed. I got it as a write off and had to put a complete side on it.

I'm pretty sure it was the first 440 Dakota ever built because I had to fab everything for it.

To help it along I added a 500 shot of nitrous oxide.

I painted it Viper Red two years before the colour was available to the general public.

The rear tires were 21.5 X 15 M/T Sportsman Pros but it still had issues hooking up. O

I put a cage in it just in case. The frame was boxed and tubbed too.

The whole inside of the bed was replaced with polished aluminum.

It was a blast to drive and it won a lot of shows, and sometimes multiple trophies at some shows.

BTW - We went to the Woodward Dream Cruise one yera and the US Customs guy asked me to do a staged Burn Out right at the checkpoint. Let me tell you my wife wasn't impressed.

I reluctantly sold it in 2000 to build a NSS car.

The digital picture is of an old photo thus the grainy picture.
