i'm a big fan of NAPA parts, but the napa chassis strut rod bushings are a little wimpey. i just put strut rod bushings in my 1973 dart sport, they were MOOG H/D. i bought these at OREILLY'S AUTO PARTS. the strut rods are critical in keeping the frt end in alighnment.

On my wagon I just went and bit the bullet and bought a master polygraphite kit. Instead of just piecing. Got it from PST about 2yrs ago and installed it over a weekend. Car drove like it had never had before. I am quite happy with it.

I heard the poly "squeaks". Is this true? I already have the rest of the front-end rebuilt, just need the strut bar bushings... Thanks

I rebuilt my 68 Barracuda front end with polygraphite bushings. After a couple of months the strut rod bushings started squeaking. I could squirt some lube on them and they would stop but it would be back again with in a week or two. It would get so bad I was embarrased to drive the car into a cruise night.

Swapped back to Moog rubber parts.

FWIW, My car already had relatively new rubber bushings in the front end and new KYB Gas-A-Just shocks. I rebuilt doner parts I was using for the 73-76 disk brake swap. Since I was going from a front end in good shape to the ploy there was no appreciable improvement in the handling of the car. I would just stick with the rubber.

i would get the mopar one piece ones p4529183. i didn't like the 2-piece ones,as the didn't fit well at all.too much play .and they fit perfect on the hd struts.

I used the MP poly road race bushings..they don't squeak at all. They ARE thicker, and you can't use the factory cotter pin holes on the strut rods.

I wanted them because the Texas heat is brutal on rubber parts, and the strut rod bushings don't seem to hold up well down here.
