I helped someone move yesterday . I missed there street and circled around the block to get back a saw a 71 or 72 340 Demon Orange like the one I owned back in the day sitting way at the back of a long driveway. Looks like it's sitting and couldn't tell if there was a plate on it. I would have stopped but my wife was in the car and I was driving her BMW. My plan is to go back with my Ragtop and see what up with the car.I would love to get my hands on it. Maybe work a trade with my Hardtop 500 stroker or just buy it and sell my stroker. Keeping my fingers crossed ! Looks similar to this.(not mine)

If you stumbled across a Demon, you should learn to watch where you are walking so you don't stumble on it next time... :D

Take something ratty. You take something nice they think you have money.

Yeah, but it still doesn't mean that the owner will sell to you...

I drove my other 68 Barracuda daily for over 7 years and got tired of people coming up and asking if it was for sale... I would ask them how much they would pay for it, and they always wanted it for $1000 or less - Go **** Yourself.... You know it's worth way more for that, don't low ball me... :icon_fU: :icon_fU: :icon_fU:

YOU
are the one asking if it's for sale, there's no for sale sign in the window... If you are going to try to buy my car, don't insult me with a low offer... I'm not selling it for that price... :realcrazy:

Plus if you have to ask me what year and model the car is, you are not worthy of owning it... If you don't know what it is, then you won't appreciate it and take care of it properly... Go find another one to buy....

It never hurts to ask. I get asked sometimes even when I'm out and about in a classic. My quote is......
"Just about everything is for sale, make an offer and I'll let you know if you like it more than me because I like it a lot". Usually ends the discussion because they know they can't buy it for a penny on the dollar :)

Remember what road and town? I think i know the car.
The person is very private if it is theirs you found. I'm surprised that car is out at all.

Or they can like that they can have something to drive now. Most of the time people say I am going to fix it up one day. But find they don't have the knowledge or time. Take him for a ride in yours . Or show him a wad of cash. then don't push the sale. let him dream for a day or two. If you can't convince him give me the address. LOL

I waited 6 years to get my Ragtop by asking. I waited 14 years for my hardtop I left a note on saying I would buy it even if it was getting junked. She called me and said the motor was knocking. Got it for $500. I'm not looking to stael or low ball . Some peaple as said say they are going to fix it someday. If I offer them my Stroker they could be driving something tomorrow and maybe change their mind about keeping. Or if I make a good offer and he accepts I would purchase and sell my Stroker Dart.
Here is the $500 Dart I bought 14 Years after leaving note on windsheild and here it is now.

Nice try ! No one's gonna know that until I find out what's up with it. But it is in Ma. The pic I posted earlier isn't the car , it's what color it is.

I have asked if a certain car is for sale or IF he ever decides to sell, let me know. This goes on for years with me checking and then BOOM it is GONE!!! Happens to us all!!! All the time!

Your Right. There was a Matching # AAR Cuda I tried for years. Motor blew at 5 yrs. old and was in his basement. Never called me and one day it was gone.

I missed on two cars recently a 65 dart gt and a 67 4dr valiant. Tried to contact the owners of each of them, but could never make contact. I think both of them ended up being impounded for being on the street with no registration. Maybe a sign I don't need another project.

There was a 68 Dart 2dr out in front of the impound yard I drove by every workday. Old Westerns on G50 tires, about an inch of dirt on it. Fresh shoe polish on the window indicating that it was towed that morning. It was so fresh that they had to drag it out to process it outside their full yard. I come to a stop and jump out, "When is it up for sale?" he said in 3 days, and 2 days later I asked again and he said he sold it that morning for $1000. Fuuuuuudge!

Okay- no issues or trying to buy it. Was just sharing what I knew about the possible owner. They made more than one Demon in that color combination.

Quite a few in Orange. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude . I had cars and motorcycles scooped from under me before. So keeping it secret for now.

I have an orange/black stripes 340 Demon as you pictured on a rotisserie. I see so many orange Demons it pisses me off. everyone paints them EV2. I hate to change the color on mine but its been a thought. The reason I painted my Duster Cobra orange was to make it different. I really like what you did with your 68 Dart. You made it your own. Very nice job on that car I like it. I hope you get the Demon but don't think you should give up the Dart. You'll regret it after all that hard work personalizing it. I see cars and trucks I have done in the past and hate to see all my work destroyed Good example. He talks like he did the swap and brags about the work on other forums

WoW ! Nice work. I had a 90 Shortbed 318 I did for my son years back. My Blue dart has the (Built not bought) liciense plate trim around it. You could be right with the regrets if I sell it.
