I wanted to know if all A Body front lower door hinges are the same.
I have a '76 Dart Sport and I had the hinges rebuilt.
I did not take any pictures before I took them off.
Looking at them I see the Rollers on the drivers side are under the hinge, which seems right.
This would make them harder to lube but would protect them from water and rain drips.

Passenger's side, on the right, has the rollers up, the opposite of the driver's side.
These are correctly assembled, notice the hinge pin button head.
I am not saying anything is wrong, I just don't understand why Chrysler would do that.
Are earlier hinges the same?
I guess I am just over thinking this, only thing I can figure is same part, just assembled 2 ways.

When I saw the pic, my first thought was "Leo rebuilt those!" I'd put them on and never think another thing about them other than lubricating them every now and then.

Missing the point.
The rollers should be on the bottom, IMO.
They are correct per Chrysler "Design".
Just a poor cost cutting design.

And they have to have 2 different part numbers because of the pin orientation.

They seem to work fine like that.

They should be lubricated at least once a year.

I daily drove these cars and parked outside in the Seattle rain Forrest for years with no issues.
