Neighbor was just freaking out. They have goats. Can't afford to feed them so they just water the weeds daily. The pen area has nothing for them to eat. Our side of our fence is full of vegetation. One of the small goats, must have seen all the weeds...and stuck its, head thru our fence. Thanks to it having horns it got stuck...and Shelby, our American Bull Dog-Pit Bull mix grabbed ahold of it. She opened the goat up right to its skull...they shot the goat...

goats will get out no matter what. You can also feed them until they can't move, then an hour later they will breakout and eat through half an acre of soybeans. I have seen goats escape by charging at their buddies and jumping off eachothers backs. Buddy fukers or team work? Who knows

When I was a kid, we were pretty poor. So when my dad got my mom a new car for the first time ever in the mid 80's (a cutlass) it was a big big deal. We had a horse that we boarded on family friends property, in return for helping upkeep the place. They had some goats, a peacock, some guineas for ticks, etc. One weekend me and my dad went out to feed/water the critters and took the new car. After awhile I hear him yelling and turn to see that two of the goats had gotten out and were playing king of the hill on top of the car. My dad ran over and punched the one on the hood in the head. It hit the ground dead and the second one ran off. Poor car looked like it had hail damage..

looks like goat for dinner tonight, or are they pets?
Claim to be "farmers", so I don't know. 3 adults, no employment. Can't afford to by any feed for the goats so they run sprinklers...attempting to keep the weeds growing. Where ever the goats are allowed looks like a nuclear drop zone. They used to have a lot of Ponderosa Pines scattered throughout the yard. Goats stripped them bare, killing all the trees. While back one of the adult goats hopped the fence...Shelby and Daisy tore it up...but it survived. Several of their geese have been in our yard...have piles of feathers as proof..
Sounds like they have the wrong fence for their type of goat
We put the fence up...to keep our dogs in our yard. They had the remnants of a fence someone put up years ago...when we put the fence up we left 18"between them...thanks to them being poor they tore the fence down to "repurpose" it. After the last goat incident they put one electric fence wire up between our properties. It is about 8" above ground level. This goat simply went over it.
Once we got Shelby off the goat I left. Pretty disgusted by this crap. They told my wife that they may end up putting a second fence up, so there is a buffer between them. I need to make a point of talking to them before they do...to suggest at least 2' between the fences.....
What is frustrating about this is if they would have just used the west side of their property this wouldn't be happening. But there is 0 fencing over there...and with them being poor...

Don't blame the goats. The neighbors are the ones that are stupid.
Yup...see my last comment...these folks are the type that pretty much are "cart in front of the horse" type of people. Be far to logical to just use the other side of the property...that neighbor doesn't have dogs...
Pretty funny to watch this..Azul, one of our Coonhounds was bred from champion hunting Redbones. When Azul is outside by herself she will often stalk the goats...thru the fence...Azul will very quietly sneak up to the fence..when she gets there she will start bellowing....goats will all take off running...

Seriously a hog wire pen isn't that expensive, and even the brokest knucklehead can get a Lowe's card. Another point of a second pin will allow them to rotate back and forth to reduce the strain on the "pasture". This will prevent erosion, and also help keep the goats fat and happy so when your pups rip them apart, it's worth it
