I do a lot of my own electrical work in my house,. Also I do lots of audio cable work, so lots of soldering.
however anytime I need to crimp something, I use a pair of pliers and make do.

Now that I am working on this old Dart, with these Packard 56 terminals, the pliers is just not working. Is there a good crimper I could buy, that would be able to be used on different sizes of terminals etc...

Thanks for any suggestions.

Packard 56 require a rather special crimper. Having said that "I don't use one." I use I think it's an old Beldon one I have, and then SOLDER the damn things.

I use the MSD crimpers. They have jaws for almost any connector you'll be dealing with and are very well made.

The Packard 56 is an uninsulated open barrel terminal, not all of the suggested crimpers work for that application. One crimper die has the shape of a m, it roll the tabs of the open barrel inward prior to compression. The die is also two stage, crimping the wire insulation strain relief with less compression. Correctly done, the terminal insertion in the crimpers is specific in orientation.
