i've gotta say...the mere name of this post is childish...there are some realities in life us mopar guys have to live with
GM made a million more cars, hence, they are more popular.. hence wider aftermarket following..walk into an autozone and see the look on thier faces when asking for a set of valve cover gaskets for a 318 if you want proof of that.
I've built an 11 second dart from the ground up from the summit book and website, if you can't do your own research and use other resources to second check yourself...and get someone on a bad day at a parts counter and bash an entire company..then give me a break...homework-homework-homework!!!
Summit and jegs are both good resources, i've just always dealt with summit and had good experiences, and problems are handled right away by cust service. as with any company you have good and bad, but an entire company "blows" being posted to the world for one walk in expierience?...sounds likes something a teenager would rant on facebook about.

I live 65 miles from Summit and about 90 mile from Jeggs and have delt with both for like 15 years. Have bought parts for A, B, and E body Mopars, 318 to 440+6. Guess what, in store or catalog sales...........not one coplaint. Have they or I made a mistake, yep, both, and they were ready and eager to make it right even when I made the mistake. I when possible prefer to order by phone or internet because I always spend more when I walk into that "eye candy" store. LOL

I like the one in Reno. I go there a few times a month. The warehouse manager at mine is a Mopar guy. He had 2 65 barracuda he parted to me and drove a 66 barracuda. Also someone there owns a 74 roadrunner. But yeah a lot of chevy, but is that gonna really change? It's a dime a dozen.

None..but they do have the 4 time prostock champ driving their car one of the reasons i buy from Summit and not Jegs Greg Anderson/Jason Line drive their cars:thumbup::thumbup:

I realize I am in the minority here, but have you considered supporting your local (if any left) speed shop? I bet these privately owned shops actually want to service their customers?
we have 4 independent speed oriented machine shops here in San Antonio (Alamo Performance, Mission, Janke Race engines, Kendrick's) and I won't endorse one over the other here as I have relations with 3 of the 4 listed. The way it goes down here if it's not a Chevy or small block Ford you are S.O.L. Yeah, I know they are the most prevalent but dang! Plus if you ain't on their "Big Timers list", you can forget it because you will be the last in line. My business partner was a store manager for Super Shops (remember them!) here in S.A. so we still have a little (very little) pull when it comes to getting something done but the individuals are ran over down here unless you are trying to bust a big ticket item.
Now on topic I prefer Jeg's over Summit though I use them both but I prefer Mancini's over both of them :-D

I always buy from Summit. I have been to the store alot. I was out for the MOPAR show last year. The show was pretty good. The customer service was ok everytime I was there. I had trouble with a cam one time that was over a year old before I even went to put it in, they looked up my account and replaced it with no problem. I do buy from Jegs now and then.

just got back from summit racing store in ohio, what a joke!i thought i was in the chevy twilight zone...dont get me wrong, standing there surrounded by chrome and horsepower was like being in a strip club, but man, totally chevy oriented.asked acouple employees for some help and got the " i dont want to be at work " attitude.what a joke! did have a sweet 440 6/pack on display, but all and all,not impressed! any feedback from you guys that have been there?,maybe its just me...

That`s the way it is everywhere my friend. I recently went to a car show that had over 120 cars and I was one of only 6 Mopars in attendance. It`s a Chevy and Ford world and that`s where retailers focus their sales. As far as people go.........well, people are people wherever you go.
