I have a 69 Dart, and am looking for LCA's with the sway bar tabs. I have someone locally that will sell me an entire SB K-Frame with UCA, LCA, disc brakes & a sway bar from a 73 or 74 Valiant (he says). Will any of this fit on my '69, and is there anything specifically I should look for to verify the year of the setup? The pic appears to show the 73+ disc caliper instead of the Kelsey Hayes setup. All I really want are the LCAs, but if the sway bar will fit on my '69 it's definitely a plus.

Not an expert, but it seems to me while chasing my own gremlins, That I read if you use it all, it is a bolt on! In fact that is how they commonly upgrade to the large bolt pattern wheels.

To use the '73-up sway bar and control arms on a '72 and earlier car, you'll need to change the whole assy.....K-member, steering box, linkage, etc. They're a completely different design.

Are the LCAs the same for 67-76, or are they different from 73-76, too? I was under the impression that the lowers were good for all A-bodies, but the uppers had a larger ball joint starting in 73. Since all I really need are the lowers so I can mount any sway bar, I'm not worried about the upppers. I already have the K-H discs on my '69, so all the disc brake related stuff (UCA, LCA, spindles, calipers etc..) I could keep for later or sell outright.

The lower arms are not identicle but will swap. The problem on the sway bar is the way it attaches to the K-member. The early bar bolts to the front lower lip of the K-member and the links hook to an eye out close to the ball joint. The '73-up sway bar runs through the center of the K-member and the links hook to an eye in the middle of the lower control arm. Without re-inventing the wheel, I don't know how you'll get the later sway bar to fit the early K-member. If you like to make stuff, I'm sure it can be done but it's not a bolt-on.

I have some used '67-72 sway bar type lower control arms too if you choose to go that route.
Thanks, Mark

I have a complete front suspension from a 69 Dart swinger with the sway bar and lca tabs. I live in FL and it would have to be picked up $100. I just don't want to see it going to waste
