I read somewhere, that there are three signs of old age. 1 is lack of memory-2&3 I can't think of right now. Anyway,I found the old tach,I ran in my '72 Duster (back in '72) and I'd like to install it in my '73. I can't remember what wire goes where. Red-Green-White-Black. It's an old SW. I never had the instructions,as it came from my brother, off one of his old hot rod's,but at one time,I knew how to wire them. Seems like anymore, all I can remember,is what I've forgotten.
I do love my old a-bodies. Dave,Fair Grove,Mo.USA

Most tach wires are all the same. The colour code should be as follows: Green is the coil negative, Red is the power wire (i prefer switched power), white is for the illumination of the tach, and finally black is the ground (make sure it is a good ground, sometimes if it is just on the steering column it doesnt work the best because it is insulated through the monting bolt spacers).
I hope this helps, Chris.

Got the tach hooked up,and a new set of gauges. Thanks for the info Chris. Everything is working. Dave
