Ok, so I recently found a tach (Suntune) from the 80's that I put away about twenty years ago. I would like to hook it up in my Duster. There are four wires red, black, blue, and green. I assume red it hot, black is ground. What are green and blue for? I know you guys will know

Thanks 4spd- Which one to coil? positive or neg side?

Black to ground.
Red to any "hot" with the ignition in the run position.
Green to negative post on coil.

With only the Blue left I would assume that to be for the tach light.

At least that's how my tach wired, not the same as yours but wire colors were the same except for my tach light wire which is white.

EDIT: You could check the blue wire before you hook everything up. Put the black wire to ground on the battery and the blue wire to positive and see if the light comes on.

Check and make sure it's set to 8 cylinders or your needle will be off.

Bad Sport- I'm going to hook it up to my slant car. I didn't see any settings

There is round foam piece with a piece of plastic in the middle - don't see any 4-6-or 8. Maybe somebody with a old Suntune tach will chime in.

I was afraid to move it. I was thinking it looked liked the light bulb for the tach , but I'm not sure
