Tach issues?

Will an MSD trigger a factory tach? Just connected today and the tachs a no go. Not sure if I'm looking at a bad guage or the MSD not having the appropriate signal.
Also no luck on the oil pressure guage either... Do these two guages share something in common?

msd from what i understand will not work with the factory tach but u can get an upgrade from dash-worx to make it work

there is a tach adapter that is available from msd to fire the stock tach.

X2 you need the adapter.

All the oil gauge shares is location. It quite easy to knock the wire terminal off the sender when messing with distributer. Just a thought.

Yeah, both wires for these parts are near the distributor. Check the wiring diagram to make sure you don't confuse them...
