temp guage wire repair?

A crimp on ring terminal and a washer and nut on the sender works well.
The red one is the size you need.

Thank you, that helps, didn't know if the L angle fitting made a difference.
 
If you use a ring terminal, toothed washer, and nut, good luck. Nut should screw on with fingers. don't force it or over tighten. Otherwise sender damage can occur.
I have found that mfgrs don't hold close thread tolerances where it wasn't req'd.
Most common example I've seen is gauge posts. The stamped tin speedy nuts they used would screw on but a true 10-32 nut would not.
Other applications like a farm tractor does have ring terminals and nuts on their temp senders so we know that sender must have proper threads.
What China makes for our application.... we cant take anything for granted.
