Was in the passenger seat of a neighbor 4 speed Road Runner when his flywheel decided we needed some more vents in the dash, only thing that stopped it from leaving the car entirely was the windshield. Car had a scatter shield when it was put back together...was something I will never forget....

Back in the dark ages in my teenage years. My buddy and I were walking through the pits at MH Speedway. Guy comes by us in early Mustang steps on the clutch and revvs the **** out of it. Guess what happens with stock clutch and bellhousing. Boom launches it through dash and cowl vent about fifty feet in the air and sharp metal every where. My buddy and I were ok. The dumb *** leg tore up and the car was f**ked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep ditched the 727 for a 904 myself , still haven't seen a pic of a 904 going boom .Thought about a blanket but I highway drive a lot in the summer and worry about the heat being trapped .

You're right .I went back and looked closer and see the blanket. Maybe converter failure and that area wasn't protected.
