I thought I had a shop lined up to paint the Barracuda. I started talking to him around the 1st of October. That shop has not done much of anything on any of the 4 or 5 cars they are working on since then. Everytime we dropped in....everything looked the same. So I decided not to take the car there.

So I began talking to a 2nd shop. Made an appointment for him to come look at the car. He never called and never showed up. A couple of weeks later he wanted to meet (in 20-30 minutes) but I was not in town so I could not meet him. He said he would get back with me during the week. Never heard back from him.

I visited a 3rd shop last week after my brother (jdr2483) had stopped and talked about the project with the owner of the shop. My dad and I drove back over to this shop today and made arrangements to take the Barracuda over in January. So hopefully in a few weeks we will see progress being made.

We had to make a trip back over to the body shop today to take some thing over. Surprised to see that he had already started digging around the car!!! He had a list of stuff he wanted me to order and wanted to check over the car before he gave me the list.

Drivers door....good!
Passengers quarter....bad and was getting ready to get cut off!!
Passengers door...needs a skin unless I can find a good door this week/weekend

I skiped from pg 1 to last page. I lost the duster!!???? LOL

Then you missed 4 body shop moves, a Charger rebuild, a few Dart upgrades, a pickup purchase, selling off 26 cars/trucks, 2 different moves across the state of Texas and the completion of the Duster!

The thread started out as the Duster rebuild. Then when we moved from the Corpus Christi area. It became a way for my former coworkers and friends from that area to keep up with my projects. If I could edit the front page title I would have done that a couple of years ago.

I know several people that have watched this thread bought some of the cars that I sold off in the last year and half or two years. I said the plan was to sell off the untouched, unfinished and project cars to get ONE vehicle that my dad could drive and enjoy. Since April of 2013, I sold off 27 Mopars that we had collected. I pooled all the money from them and I have been watching for something to come up that I thought my dad would really like and enjoy. Well last Thursday I found something I thought he would like. It took a few days to work out a deal but it all came together yesterday!!!!! My brother (jdr2483) and myself took my dad to Oklahoma City and brought this back!
