Just thought I'd share a comparison photo that shows the power of the extra gold pearl that I added in the paint. On a cloudy day, it's hard to even see the color fade from front to rear. But on a sunny day... POW!
The car is mostly Hemi Orange with tons of extra gold pearl added. The front color is a newer Dodge color called Header Orange, also with tons of gold pearl added. I painted it in my garage.
I never get tired of pulling it outside on a sunny day.
That's all, cheers!

Thanks! Too bad the guy that I sold it to totally stripped it down and gutted the interior. It's now just a black empty van, the last I heard, and the last time I talked to him he said he'd lost interested in building it out the way he had intended. Maybe one day I'll be able to buy it back at a reasonable price. Doubtful though. I had a lot of good times in that van!

Damn, that's hard to hear. These were from around 2020?

I made a cool pull-out bar for the rear of the van. Also gone now!
I'm missing something, why would someone buy a super nice van and gut it out and leave it for dead? He could have saved alot of money by buying an empty project van in the first place.. It doesn't make sense.

He said a 78 Dodge street van with a factory 4 speed had been his holy grail for years and he had been amassing items to build one out. So that's why he gutted it. Not sure what happened with his motivation after that. Life maybe?

BEAUTIFUL! I would really like to see you post a few more sunshine pics from different angles.
You know, sometimes I see non-factory colors on A Bodies, and I am not a gig fan. This is stunning. I like it. It fits the car like a glove.

Thanks! Here's a couple of different walk-around videos that show off the effect of the gold pearl in the Sun.
This first one is kind of mesmerizing, as the sunlight is being filtered through some trees that were fluttering in a light breeze, so it really shows how the spots of direct sunlight make the paint light up like it's electrically charged.

This next one is in full sunlight. This was about 6 years ago and I should probably do an updated walk-around video because since then, I've mad a few chassis adjustments and tire size changes to fine tune the stance and maximize the rear tire size I could fit.

And here are just a few more still photos:

I carried the color fade combo throughout the engine bay and on the engine components as well.

You ought to turn that idle up . it sounds like a dying horse when it should be a horse in full gallop. Worse thing for a motor is to let it chug.

i like a fade paint job, i've done a few in the past. a kid wanted a quick blow over and said any color you already have if it's cheaper. i faded it from white in the front to red at the back. he said his mates asked why it was like that so i said to tell them it accelerates so fast the color's draining out of it. he liked that, lol.
neil.

Those are both old videos and more tuning has been done since, but thanks.

Absolutely stunning car all around. Perfection, in my opinion, just perfect.
