What a fun rabbit hole to go down. Love the gassers especially the Willys and Anglias. Where did all those cars go? Hopefully still running in a Nostalgia class somewhere. GTX in the background?

Thanks for sharing! Very cool cars. I noticed a lot of the earlier cars ran 3-speed standards. I would think they were prone to breakage, but I guess that was the best option at the time.

Though not Gassers back in 1961 the Ramchargers race team ran the Long Ram cars with 3 speed on the column !

The rules now are mopars can not be newer then 1966. But Chevy and Ford can be 67. We originally bought a 67 Cuda and found we couldn't use it. We had to buy a 66 valiant. Steve is building a 66 Gasser. The new engine is the alcohol Hemi with a 4 spd.
