First off, I need to rant and ***** about a few things that are royally pissing me off rite now. So if you read this, I'm sorry. lol

As some of you know, I recently messed my back up pretty bad in a little accident at work. I ruptured my L3 disk and basically blew the L4 disk out. It's hanging down and nearly touching the L5 disk. The doctor took me out of work, so I have a **** ton of free time and I am not used to this, I hate it in fact. I like to go out and do things. I had all sorts of plans to go get into shape by hiking and biking and whatever now that I live here in Oregon, I absolutely love it here by the way. So all of those plans have went to **** recently. Anyway, so I have been going to doctors constantly for the last month plus and trying to be comfortable. I keep calling workers comp and trying to get everything done so I can get back to work. Well I finally got a hold of my adjuster today (I have called many times this week and left messages with no reply) and asked what the status was. He said they sent out requests to the surgeon and to my former doctor in Utah to get all my health records, but have not received anything yet. So I call down to Utah and they have not seen a request, so I request them and gave them the workers comp fax #. I call the surgeons office. Again, no request. So I get their fax number and call him back to get it going. You would think, and I would hope that they would want to get this done as quick as possible so they don't have to keep paying my salary, which is another thing that sucks as its not near what I make at work. I want this to be done and I want to get back to work, which by the way has been awesome. The owner of the company found out that I have no family or anyone up here and told me that if I need someone to take me to the hospital or to pick me up, to call down and if needs be, he personally would come and do it. I work for a big company too. They are also keeping my health insurance up to date while I am gone and everything. Really a GREAT place to work.

Plus, on top of all that, a few weeks ago I had a breakdown due to everything all at once and ended up in the ER for mental observation and am now on more anti depressants. Tomorrow is my 30th B-day, and I am going to sit home all day with no one around me, and in a ton of pain. Oh, and my stupid computer has some sort of damn virus where it keeps popping up stupid adds all the god damn time!!! I don't know life could be much worse...

Well thanks for listening (reading). Hope you all have a great day.

Thanks! :)

Ya, it just did the windows update thing and now has all that crap...

Feel free to rant, it helps to get things off your chest. I hope you feel better Jeremy and that this all gets figured out real soon. Now that it's spring and getting nice, it's no fun to be stuck inside so I hope you can get out and let lose a little. Keep your head up and if you feel down or need a friend, feel free to let me, you know my number :glasses7: also sending prayers your way....

Am going through the same thing in Oregon L4-L5 broad base disc bulge. Workers comp in Oregon do not have to make a decision to accept or deny the claim for 60 days from date of injury. Who is the comp carrier?
My left leg is/was Paralyzed to an extent from the nerve impingement from the disc. They will drag it out until around that date just accept that... In the mean time get an attorney to advocate for you. The adjusters will take your own words and turn them around and use them against you. The attorney is the intermediary for you. They (comp) are in power until you do. I can recommend one here in Oregon City. I will PM his information to you. I went almost 3 months without anything but basic treatment PT that was all they would do. I just got my second epidural injection yesterday and some of the feeling is now returning. I feel for you.

I feel for you Jeremy, been there also with my back. All I can add is to keep a copy of every note, report, reciept from Dr,s/Surgeons.Seems they tend to misplace, lose things.Good luck and Happy Birthday!

I am uploading the newest version of Malwarebytes Antimalware for you to download from http://www.letsgocomputers.com/programs/mbam.exe

Download and install it. (Uncheck that you want the pro demo when it comes up)
Update the program and do a quikscan and remove everything it finds.
Great program.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes guys.

And thank you for the link trailbeast. I ran that and re-installed Chrome. Everything is much better. :)

I am retired from the USPS and as a former shop steward I saw many of my co-workers who were injured on the job go through the same. Workers comp will stall and delay and lie in hopes you will give up and go away. I suggest if you can afford it to get a lawyer who deals with this kind problem. You must protect yourself because the people at workers comp will never look after your best interest until they know you will do what ever it takes to get the benefits you deserve. Good luck and you are in my prayers.

Find something positive to focus on. I'm sure I sound like a smart aleck but keep in mind that God is in control regardless of what happens. He will never give you more than He KNOWS you can handle. Try talking to the MAN and see what He is trying to tell you

I been through it in 91 and now again. I am such a high risk they won't preform surgery again. I hope you are better soon.

Welcome to the new America....!!!

My brother is going through the same thing in MN. He worked for the city out there and apperently worked to hard . Animosity grew with the slackers and mgmt so they gave him and another guy all the hard labor while the rest of the guys played cards and slacked off!!

He told the supervisor that they need to spread the hard labor among all the guys or he was going to get injured. oss told him he should do what he was told !! 6 months later he is getting out of his truck and his back goes out ! so he goes to the doctor , who refers him to a back specialist and she tells him that he overworked his back and will never be the same !

My brother has alwas been a muscle bound rock and very active ! Now he is in constant pain.

Everyone at the city covers their asses and lies about any conversation that he claims to have had..( he has been telling me about this since long before the injury ) So ... Now MN has a law that you can only collect like 20k in liability for workmens comp (he got an atty)
And he is screwed now.

BTW , he recieved national accomadations for the work he did landscaping the city of Maple Grove !

Now he is 47 and cant enjoy the active life he used to have and all because some city mgrs thought he jeapordized there cushy workplace !!!

Hope you feel better soon. Can't help your back any but suggest avoiding the **** sites....your pc will appreciate it.

J-mac,make yourself, healthy first. First, always, talk to family.Second, find local Mopar people.Your new boss ,is cool enough to wait......

Don't be in any big hurry on workers comp they are slow as hell. I have been on it since 2002 and still fighting with them. They want me dead I think but I am not giving up. Workers comp suck.

I have been down that road more than once and I feel for you!! workmens comp. can be ruthless with only paying the least amount possible there only concern .I wish I had some good news for you but the truth is they run the show and have workerd to control passing laws to work in there favor ...like no pain and suffering, wow I think there pigs . i always carrying supplemental insurance just for that reason,Hang in there .

I,m reading that they wont let him get back to work. Fight the good fight. Dont let them make you dependant. Thats what they want.

Sound like they already made him dependant... But now they dont want to pay for their actions !

I have independent health care and was told by one of my doctors that if they string me on much past the 60 days, to get an lawyer, get my back fixed through my personal insurance and fight them as much as I can. I want to be pain free, thats what I care about most.

And yes, I am not able to go back to work at this time, so I guess I am kind of dependent. I wish I could do something, but I can't...

In the meantime, I need to figure some sort of hobby to keep me occupied while I sit here. So I am thinking of getting into N scale trains. I grew up with HO ones and loved them, just don't have the room. So if any of you have some N scale trains that you want to get rid of, let me know.

I could not imagine going threw this at your age J.Mac.. I hope they get there chit together soon, I wish I could help with the train thing bud, But let me say happy birthday to you with a picture I took well over 7 years ago.
This train was in a small town waiting to make a grand entrance in Jonesboro, I was ran off the tracks by the railroad police but not until I got a couple pictures :thumleft: It's an old one :glasses7:

Prayers going out for you to find relief :prayer:
