X2By the reaction of those who have replied it tells me I don't want to watch...
I work with children everyday and it breaks my heart when I see things like this. I didn't want to make anyone upset or anything. It was just to bring awareness. I have often thought I wanted to work for Child Protective Services and help out children in these circumstances. But after dealing with CPS it often doesn't work the way you think it should. Just because you report a case doesn't mean anything is going to happen. I have seen children have visible signs of abuse and they remain in the household with the very same person who did it to them. I have heard things that children tell me that is happening to them and still no results. I have only had the end results turn out good one time. I had a child who had handprints on her face. She complained all day long about her shoulder and neck hurting her. I couldn't leave her site without her getting upset. I called CPS immediately. They came, the sheriff came, and a foster parent came. In the end they took directly to the hospital and found out she had a broken collar bone. When they checked her brother out he had a broken collar bone too. The sad thing is when I called her mom before CPS called she said she didn't know what I was talking about. She was covering up for the stepdad. The good thing she never went back and went to her dads. I never got to see her again but I knew she was better off. The dad did contact the office and tell me thank you for taking care of his daughter. I know you can't save them all but I wish I could.
