The Proper Way To Winterize Your Mopar, According To Me!

Come on down in like August or September when it's like 95+ degrees with 90% humidity and rains every afternoon.
I worked in a Body Shop just south of Austin, TX for a few years and the Summer heat was no joke, especially when you're covered in bondo dust. That combo of heat, sweaty stank and bondo dust definitely brews it's own unique funk odor! I swear, I can smell it now, just talkin' about it.

Happy Birthday! Funny about the Irish Spring, a buddy suggested it so i cut some up and put in small foil tart trays. In spring i found teeth marks all through it lol. Thankfully i had also put bounce sheets down.
Dryer sheets are my go to, that and moisture absorbers. When I stored it at a buddy's for a couple years I had left a roll of blue shop towels in it(thankfully). Cuz they went apeshit on those and left everything else alone.
I had some mice actually eating the Irish Spring soap in one vehicle a few years back. -Mother F*#kers! LOL

Well, it's late November here in Minnesota and we had a beautiful 55 degree, sunny day, and it happens to be my birthday (62). So I decided to take her out for one last cruise. Made a 75 mile round trip to Taylors Falls on the St. Croix river after warming her up a bit first. It was also a test run after changing out my front jets and swapping to a 10.5 power valve to address a lean spot at partial throttle.

As a fellow MN Barracuda guy, I love this thread. I pushed it this year too. My storage unit is in the suburbs, so I was worried about early season salt. I even emailed MNDOT to ask if they’d already salted. Amazingly they responded right away. And yes they had salted. So I drove to the suburb, and ran through a nearby car wash, and then wanted to dry everything out before parking in the unit. So here’s that photo.

I do understand that if you live in snow and ice country that you wouldn't want to drive your classic car or motorcycle in the winter and that some even have winter beater cars or trucks just for that purpose.

I have all audis ...as long as i run them threw the car wash (under car) once a month rust isn't a problem
Its working on cars is it a problem
Seen some BAD stuff salt can do
And where they park is a big problem
Under a tree on a stone driveway in the shade can kill a car

It’s been a great fall here for cruising around, but winter is arriving today. For the mice problem, a cat is best preventative for me. Stable in the fuel

Rain gauges here in S DE Tx. measure rain of course, but IF it really hot and humid, at the end of the day, we simply pull off our boots, take a measuring tape and measure the depth of sweat in a boot!! Just one boot, not both!
Yea it runs down your face, chest, legs, etc. etc. and ends up in hour boots. Gross but true. :BangHead: :steering:

Nice looking Cuda and Happy Birthday. She's a cool -6F here in Alberta today. Needless to say the cars are currently being "winterized" in the shop.

Thank you. If my weather app is accurate it looks like you are having close to the same temps today as we are in Edmonton, AB.
Yea, we got a 5 inch snowstorm on Tuesday and it's snowing again right now, probably another 4 inches or so by the time it's done. The driving season for me is officially done!
